The Sierra Nevada Ski Resort is located in the municipality of Monachil, just 30 minutes by car from Granada.
The main ski resort in southern Europe, where you can enjoy more days of sunshine a year, is the perfect place to practice all white sports.
The quality of facilities and services, together with its lively atmosphere, they make the resort a meeting point for snow lovers, recognized internationally as demonstrated by the numerous ski competitions it hosts.
During the day, it is possible to enjoy the enormous variety of snow sports and activities and, at night, fun is guaranteed: night skiing, tapas and drinks by the slopes, concerts, restaurants, clubs...
The resort has 37 accommodations, 15 of which are hotels, with a total of 4,200 beds. It also offers a number of winter sports schools for beginners and advanced students.
With its 110 kilometers of tracks distributed in 131 routes, Sierra Nevada provides one of the widest and most attractive ski areas in southern Europe. The winter resort of Granada stands out for the greatest difference in altitude in Spain (1,200 metres), for the width of its pistes and for the daily skiing (380 hectares groomed by machines), with clean, wide and obstacle-free runs for all levels. The Sierra Nevada's modern snow production system covers 44 pistes (35 linear kilometres).
Sierra Nevada skiers have the privilege of enjoying the sensation of sliding down 5.8 km of freshly groomed slopes, in the illuminated night, surrounded by silence... The night skiing activity takes place on Thursdays and Saturdays during the season on the slopes of El Río and Maribel. Non-skiers can enjoy a stargazing activity in Borreguiles on Saturday nights.
One of the most complete snow parks in southern Europe for riders of all levels and disciplines. With four slope style sectors for advanced and expert levels, an introductory mini park, the largest permanent halfpipe in Spain and a skicross/snowboardcross track. Sulayr snowpark has recently hosted major international freeski and snowboard events, such as the 2013 World Cup super final, the 2015 Universiade and the 2017 World Championships.
